Things we build from wood that was finished
A small workshop at the back of the yard where boards that failed the repair line become retail displays, bar fronts, tables and cladding.
Request pricing
Everything marked with a star is required. The rest helps us quote faster.
RePallet Co. builds small-batch upcycled goods from reclaimed pallet timber: retail displays, bar and counter fronts, wall cladding, benches, tables, planters and crate shelving.
Everything is made to order in Denver from wood recovered at our own dismantling line. Lead times run two to five weeks depending on the piece and the finish.
What the workshop makes
Retail displays
End caps, tiered risers, crate shelving and branded market stalls. Built to fit an aisle and to survive being moved weekly.
Bar and counter fronts
Board-clad panels in mixed species with the stencils left visible. A Denver taproom staple.
Wall cladding
Sorted, planed and tone-matched boards sold by the square foot with a fitting guide.
Benches and tables
Communal tables, benches and low tables built on reclaimed stringer frames.
Planters and troughs
Lined timber planters in standard and custom sizes for patios and streetscapes.
Signage and backdrops
Event backdrops, market signage and photo walls, flat-packed for transport.
This is a small part of the business and we are honest about that. It exists because the workshop crew kept building things on their lunch break and customers kept asking to buy them.
How commissioning works
- 1
Tell us the brief
Dimensions, use, environment and any visual references. Photographs beat adjectives.
- 2
Sketch and quote
We send a dimensioned sketch and a fixed price. No charge for this stage.
- 3
Wood selection
We pull boards for tone and character and send photographs before cutting.
- 4
Build
Two to five weeks, depending on size, finish and how much sanding is involved.
- 5
Delivery or collection
Delivered across the metro on our own trailers, or collected from the yard.

Finishes, and how they age in Colorado
The Front Range is hard on finishes: intense UV at altitude, very low humidity, and a diurnal temperature swing that moves timber more than most climates do. What works here is not always what a finishing guide written for the midwest recommends.
| Finish | Look | Interior life | Exterior life |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hardwax oil | Matte, natural, repairable | 3 – 5 years | Not recommended |
| Penetrating oil, exterior | Warm, darkens slightly | — | 18 – 24 months |
| Water-based lacquer | Satin, film-forming | 5 – 8 years | Not recommended |
| Stain plus oil | Tone-corrected | 3 – 5 years | 18 – 24 months |
| Paint | Opaque, brand colours | 6 – 10 years | 3 – 5 years |
| Unfinished | Silvers over 12 – 18 months | n/a | Indefinite, intentional |
Let exterior pieces grey, if you can bear it
An unfinished exterior piece silvers to a stable grey within a year or two and then stops changing. It needs no maintenance at all. Most exterior finishing schedules exist to prevent an appearance change that is harmless and that many people end up preferring — and the ones that do not silver are the ones you will be re-coating every other spring.
Commissioning: what makes a brief work
- Send photographs of the space, not adjectives. “Rustic” means six different things; a photograph means one.
- Give dimensions and constraints — ceiling height, door widths, whether it has to come apart to get in.
- Say how it will be used and abused. A taproom table lives a harder life than a showroom table and should be built differently.
- Tell us about the stencils. Some customers want them visible; some want them gone. It changes how we sort the boards.
- Say whether it moves. Market stalls and event pieces need to flat-pack; fixed pieces do not and can be stronger for it.
- Give us the deadline honestly. If it is tight we will tell you what is achievable rather than promising and disappointing.
We send a dimensioned sketch and a fixed price at no charge before anything is cut, and photographs of the selected boards before assembly. Nothing gets built from a verbal brief, which protects both of us.
What we will turn down
Anything structural — load-bearing, mezzanines, anything a building inspector needs to sign. Anything requiring documented material provenance. And anything where the honest answer is that new timber would be better and cheaper, which happens two or three times a year and which we would rather say than quietly deliver.
